About Me

Here’s a bit about an Italian-American woman in her twenties with adoration for food, wellness & empowering others:

My Background

Growing up, my nourishment consisted primarily of Italian cuisine. I’d even cook pasta gravy (sauce) on Saturday mornings with my Grandma. Both sides of my family would gather every Sunday to devour the most decadent pasta you’d ever taste. When heading for college to study Business Marketing, the bittersweet reality of leaving those moments in the suburbs of Chicago set in. Fast forward to graduation and I was packing my bags to endure a 2-month layover in Chicago until officially moving to NYC. I currently work in social media, yet, my true love is as stated above. Food, wellness & empowering others.

Why Food and Wellness

I fell enamored with fitness after my precious Grandma passed away in 2013. It helped me de-stress, clear my head and feel confident in other areas of my life. Fitness has since been fulfilled into my daily routine. In a similar realm, the aim to save money and eat healthier in college sprouted my passion for nutritious cooking. That said, my relationship with food is still a work in progress and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to share and discuss food and wellness with you all.

Purpose

The purpose of my blog is to generate empowerment & confidence for my readers. I’m certain that I’ll receive the same from you all. This is because I am positive that you can cook flavorful, nutritious dishes. You can eat well, get active & live a budget-friendly lifestyle. This is all attainable during the work week and beyond. Ultimately, this blog is catered to YOU.

In Summary

There are many ways that this world tries to bring us down. However, it is up to us to make the best of what we can control. We only get one life and one body, shouldn’t we give it out best?

Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me. Now go on and enjoy the content!
