Simple Beet Root Latte Recipe
I’ve paid above $5 for these in cafes and that felt a bit excessive. So, I decided to challenge myself by starting to make my own drink!
My wallet is thanking me. Yours will too.
Simple Beet Root Latte
This is a quick, nutrient-dense drink. Perfect with breakfast or after a workout.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon beet root powder I ordered this on Amazon (cheaper & high quality)
- 1 cup nut milk I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients into a blending source (I use a Magic Bullet) or into a saucepan on low heat.
- Blend or whisk the ingredients until frothy. This will take about 20 seconds using the Magic Bullet. Whisking may take a tad longer.
- Pour from the Magic Bullet into a saucepan and warm over low heat. This will take about 4 minutes or less. If already using a saucepan over heat, another minute will suffice.
- If serving cold, pour from Magic Bullet directly into a Mason Jar with ice. (I like using a Mason Jar because it is easy to give another shake to increase the froth after sitting).
- If heating in a saucepan, pour over ice and chill in the refrigerator if need be.
